CAPODIMONTE PORCELAIN

Capodimonte porcelain owes its name to the homonymous hilly area of ​​Naples, where in the first half of the eighteenth century King Charles of Bourbon and his wife Maria Amalia of Saxony founded the Royal Factory of Capodimonte. In addition to the Museum, the porcelain produced by this famous company are also kept at the Duca di Martina Museum, at the Floridiana villa, at the Filangieri Museum and at the Diego Aragona Pignatelli Cortes Museum. The porcelain items produced by Arte Ca.Sa. they are worked according to tradition, exclusively by hand. Each leaf or stem of our flowers is studied and made in every detail with the greatest precision. The processing begins with the drawings of our artists, then the craftsmanship, finally, when the work is good, the cooking and painting phase begins.

The first firing of the porcelain is carried out at 1250 ° with special ovens, for about 8-12 hours. This is followed by the decoration and color phase, and then finished with a second firing at about 750 °, to fix the details and give that original beauty that characterizes the material.
